A largely 'forgotten' exercise which is great for developing quads and glutes.

Stand in the machine with your calves against the pad and squat deep, great for isolating the 'teardrop'.

Sturdy bit of kit

No wobble from this thing and you feel safely planted to the ground. I was dubious about buying something like this online but I’ve always had good experiences with strength shop so went ahead.. it exceeded my expectations with how robust it feels, so if you’re looking for a well priced commercial feeling bit of kit buy this one.

For reference I’m 6’3 but it also gets used by someone 5’1 that equally loves it.

Strength Shop Sissy Squat Bench

Bought this a few weeks ago. It was delivered the day after I ordered it. Easy to assemble. My only tip would be to put the plastic foot covers in a basin of boiling or very hot water for 10 minutes before carefully removing them and drying them. They can then be easily fitted over the metal as they are nice and pliable. Don't spend hours of frustration trying to hammer them on cold. Superb quality and well designed. Hours of fun to be had. Has been good for those with knee issues as it seems to remove all pressure from the knees during the squat. Has been a great exercise to include as part of leg training. We have used body weight and added resistance by holding a kettlebell or a plate against the chest or overhead. I would highly recommend this bench. Everybody in the gym loves using it.
