The Texas Bar is one of the best there is and unlike generic/cheaper bars, is built to last. The Texas Power Bar was developed by Buddy Capps (a Texas powerlifter, expert machinist and innovator) more than 30 years ago and has since become the standard in powerlifting.

 

Previously these bars were sold with bare steel sleeves. Bars sold from 14th April 2020 now feature chrome coated sleeves to help prevent rust.

This bar is 20kg in weight with sharp deep knurling. This bar also does not have center knurling and is rated at 186,000psi. This bar is great for adding extra kg's to your dead lift.

Manufactured by Capps Welding, and coated with zinc oxide which means they're not slippy and weakened (which it is believed the process of chroming does), but they are not prone to rust like the standard 'unfinished' Texas bars.
